Just days ago, Oppo announced two more handset both sharing similar specs and are expected to appeal to a select consumer base looking for more of a compact handset. Debuting the Oppo Neo 5 and Oppo Neo 5s with a 4.5” display which are tiny in comparison to the recent debut of the 6” Oppo R7 Plus.
Oppo’s Neo 5 and Neo 5s will feature a clean design, will feature Bluetooth connectivity, and will support expandable memory, but underneath it all they’ll both be budget friendly handsets. The shared specs won’t impress anyone, but it’s not the reason why their hitting the market sometime later this summer.
Sporting a 4.5” Touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 480, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and a 2000 mAh battery. The Neo 5 will boast a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor while the Neo 5s will be powered by a 410 Snapdragon 1.2GHz processor. The Neo 5s will feature 4G LTE while the standard Neo will not.
There’s been no official word on the release date, but rumors are suggesting a China launch late this summer. We’re expecting the price to be much cheaper than the , and it’s likely both the Neo 5 and Neo 5s price will be two of Oppo’s cheapest handsets yet.
