Over a lifetime, researchers estimate the average Briton will spend 682 days, or nearly two years, suffering with a hangover.

Further findings show that people in Scotland are much more likely to have a hangover, with 20 per cent of Scots experiencing five hangovers or more each month compared to just six per cent of people nationally.
